We really enjoyed our stay in Unit 5610 the week of
January 23rd. The accommodations were perfect for our
family. Being only 1/2 block from Siesta Key Beach was
incredible, plus we could walk to the village for shopping
and dinner. We used the bikes you have available for
guests on several occasions to ride around the island.
I would also like to mention that Ricardo was so helpful
in attending to anything we requested. I would highly
recommend Gumbo-Limbo to my friends and family and would
love to return myself in the future.

My wife and I had a great stay at Gumbo Limbo, just
across the street from Siesta Key beach. The condo was
well-appointed with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and
two baths. We enjoyed having a balcony on both the main
and second floors. The pool area was great and the unit
was not far from the Siesta Key Village. We had access
to beach chairs and umbrellas. We would love to return
and enjoy the hospitality of Gumbo Limbo!
As seasoned European business travelers, we recently
followed up on the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce's referral
of Ms. Virginia Heidersberger's thoroughly charming
Gumbo Limbo vacation rental. Our week-long stay could
not have been more pleasant: impeccable 24/7 customer
service [Thanks, Virginia, you are one classy, super
friendly and hard-working lady! ;-)], excellent location,
beautifully furnished and clean rooms, reasonable rates,
spectacular views (the 6 of us stayed in Suite 662),
in short: the perfect experience. We know a good place
when we see one and Gumbo Limbo was exactly that! Can't
wait for our next conference in Sarasota at Christmas,

Just steps from the door, a fabulous, heated pool, with
lush landscaped surroundings, the pool was fabulous.
You know how so many places offer the concrete slab
pool - no place to escape the mid-day sun? The courtyard
area was my favorite spot. Watch your children play,
enjoy a great book. We loved the proximity to the beach
and the village - I think it's the best location on
the island. Beach chairs and other equipment are provided.
The owner and staff are very helpful. We will stay here
again.

HOOKED BY THE WEB SITE with those air
views and that music! ... and we weren't disappointed
a bit ... What a place! What a pool! WHAT A LOCATION
... closer to the beach than we even imagined! We found
Virginia friendly and well organized and her staff (Ricardo
and Angela) friendly and helpful! Our two units were
nicely laid out, with a sunny bedroom in the front and
two bedrooms in the back overlooking the pool! Very
spacious! We loved the Drum Circle on the beach on Sunday
nights and the fresh fish at Lobster Pot in the Village.

This summer marked the 10th anniversary
of my family and I vacationing at beautiful Gumbo Limbo
vacation rental on Siesta Key, and by the look of it,
we can't seem to get enough of the place - or the people
who run it. Everyone is going out of their way to make
us feel welcome and make our stay as perfect as possible.
It's the ideal location for a family of 5 (top marks
for cleanliness and service, by the way!) and the kids
just love it (especially the pool and the lizards).
This place is the perfect setting for my wife and I
to relax with the kids. Also, we love all the freebees
Virgina's throwing in (high chairs, toys, bikes, rafts,
parasols, etc.). Great rates, too. See you guys next
year! --

Gumbo Limbo war für uns wirklich ein kleines Stück
vom Paradies, die Lage ist großartig! Fast jeden
Morgen sind wir am Strand entlanggejoggt, die Kids(11
und 12Jahre alt) konnten vom Haus allein zum Wasser
laufen, es ist ja wirklich nur kurz über die Straße,
und schon ist man da. Ihr Appartement ist bestens ausgerüstet,
es hat an nichts gefehlt, die Klimaanlage funktionierte
bestens, und als wir Hilfe brauchten (Safenummer vergessen),
war sofort Ihr freundlicher Hausverwalter Ricardo zur
Stelle und hat uns die ganze Zeit über bestens
betreut. Alles war tip top in Ordnung und sehr geschmackvoll
eingerichtet. Super vor allen Dingen das große
moderne Badezimmer mit dem fantastischen Blick aufs
Meer. Unsere Töchter haben besonders den tollen
Süßwassepool genossen, super erfrischend
und schön angelegt. Während dessen wanderten
die Eltern von Balkon zu Balkon und beobachteten den
Sonnenuntergang. 1000 Dank für diese tolle Location,
wir kommen bestimmt wieder, es war ein traumhafter Urlaub
at Gumbo Limbo! Herzliche Grüße aus good

Just sending a quick note to say how much my family

We stayed at Gumbo Limbo for 3 nights and didn't want
to go home. It was the perfect location. We loved the
view and had a wonderful time. We will be going back
as soon as possible!

My wife and I traveled from Aspen to Sarasota for the
entire winter season a few years ago and rented a basic
unit from the owner. The unit was freshly-painted, with
a sparkling swimming pool right outside our door, everything
clean, cable TV and VCR provided, and there were beach
chairs and even bicycles belonging to the hotel which
were free to use.
Our stay could not have been better, and we fell in
love with Sarasota so much we returned every winter
thereafter since staying at Gumbo Limbo. We even got
married on Siesta Key and the owner, Ms. Heidersberger,
hosted our small reception at the hotel.
Just steps from the most beautiful beaches in Florida,
nice, well-appointed rooms, a swimming pool and tropical
plantings -- Gumbo Limbo is a jewel, and the owner went
out of her way to make our stay so memorable we have
now moved to Sarasota and bought a house!

wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for a wonderful
weekend at Gumbo Limbo. The unit could not have
worked out better for the six of us, we had plenty of
space. Despite the rainy weather and cool temperatures,
we were able to enjoy the beautiful pool area all three
days.
Allowing
us to check in early and check out late made our arrival
and departure so much smoother, I just can’t thank
you enough for working with our flight schedules.

My husband and I stayed in townhouse 662 with our parents,
brother & sister-in-law, and 1 1/2 year old child. Everyone
had a wonderful time and greatly enjoyed the accomodations.
The townhouse is beautifully decorated and spotlessly
clean. The pool was absolutely wonderful, and we felt
like we were in our own tropical oasis. The beach was
a short walk away, and the provided beach chairs and
beach toys were great! We will be back again, and would
gladly recommend Gumbo Limbo to our friends and family.

“Pure bliss and serenity”
I have been all over the world. I have stayed in the
best of the best. Gumbo Limbo in Sarasota was the most
relaxing and refreshing experience I have had in years.
The property is wonderfully tropical and inviting. The
rooms and amenities are very clean and comfortable.
The price is a steal! I took a few steps and found the
best beach in the entire southern United States. The
proprietor was incredibly kind and friendly. I plan
to make this location the sanctuary for writing my next
book.

GUMBO LIMBO is the nicest vacation spot I have ever
been to. The location is perfect - - right across the
street from the most beautiful beach in the country
and a short walk to the cute little village with plentiful
fun spots for eating and drinking. (I especially liked
the SIESTA KEY OYSTER BAR). also, great shops for visitors
shopping needs. The accomodations were just as advertised
(if not better). Very attractively decorated - spotless
- plenty of towels and everything we needed. We also
enjoyed the great little swimming pool surrounded with
lush greenery. I will cherish the memory of my vacation
at GUMBO LIMBO and hope to return many times.

This was the perfect and most relaxing vacation I have
needed for so long, especially with the winters we have
in NY. A very tropical and laid-back property, almost
like being in Hawaii. The accommodations were a very
nice taste of old Florida, I could have been Hemmingway
writing a novel at a quaint bungalow in Key West, but
the prices here are the best I have found anywhere.
Too good to pass up, and I am so glad I didn't. The
pool is gorgeous, you could almost fall over and be
on the beach (ok, one hop and one skip, and then fall
on the glorious sand). It has been reported, and I can
verify that the sand on Siesta Beach is some of the
finest in the world. Siesta village is just a short
walk. The owner was extremely friendly and courteous.
So much comes with the room; bicycles, beach chairs,
TV (but who needs that when you're in a paradise like
this?), toys and ammenities for the kids. They even
had a wildlife rescue guy come and save an injured pelican
on the beach faster than any ambulance I've seen in
NY. My new home away from home. I want to move there.

from which we were able to take a few steps to the beach
or take the short walk to Siesta Village for dinner.

My family and friends have been visiting Siesta Key
and staying at Gumbo Limbo for over 10 years with one
great experience after another. The rooms are clean
and well equipped and the location, just off Siesta
Beach, cannot be beat! Like Siesta Key, Gumbo Limbo

“Awesome place for Beach Vacation”
I stayed at GUMBO LIMBO for over a week. I am a very
picky guest and was totally impressed with this property.
The condo, linens and towels were very clean; there
were no strange odors in the condo; the A/C worked very
well; and the pool was immaculate. An added bonus you
get with this property is its close proximity.

“I hated to leave Gumbo Limbo”
Gumbo Limbo was an absolute pleasure, from it's outstanding
location just steps to one of "the world's whitest sand
beaches", to it's spacious accomdations,to it's romantic
heated lagoon pool. The resort combines a decidely tropical
feel,with an emphasis on privacy,with the convenience
of being in walking distance of everything,wether sports
or water oriented,shopping or dining we never needed
our car.Then again who would since management graciously
provides free bicycles for scooting about the key and
charming village.For those with kids there is not only
free bikes, but free beach toys,chairs.sun umbrella's
and boogie boards. Lastly being somewhat of a stickler
for cleanliness,I can happily report that the accomodations
were very clean,and the unit well appointed.Whatever
requests were made of management were met with a cheerful
accomodating attitude that made us feel really appreciated.
